- COMPOSTING: Organic waste from our packing facility is sheet composted on our 30 acre farm to help build organic matter.
- COVER CROPS: Our cycle of cover crops is designed to minimize erosion, prevent soil compaction, recycle nutrients, and provide weed control. Some of our crops include winter rye, crimson clover, buckwheat and hairy vetch.
- NATURAL FERTILIZERS: To meet the seasonal demands of our crops an additional supply of nutrients is provided from natural fertilizers derived from the environment, such as fish emulsion and kelp.
