Living Herbs (Basil)
Living basil is grown in water (hydroponics) and is sold in an attractive sleeve that has care and usage instructions printed on the outside.
The plant should be placed in a glass of water. Just pinch off the leaves for use in recipes. Put fresh leaves in spaghetti sauce or on top of pizza or with tomatoes and sliced mozzarella cheese. The plant will live for a week or two, depending on rate of harvest. It will continue to grow but is not to be planted.
