Have fresh herbs lost some of their strength in taste over the last couple of years? It seems to me the fresh herbs I have been buying in the grocery store like dill and cilantro don't have the vibrancy they once had.

Last late summer after the horrible draught and heat we had down here in SC, I found your plants at Publix Supermarket, and they grew and grew, and sure made up for what I had lost the first time around. On a hunch I went there again, and sure enough, I nearly cried, where can you find kitchen ready italian parsley and sweet basil on February 6 th???? I am euroupean and of course, we savor fresh herbs.... in cooking as well as on salads, and what can beat fresh Pesto??? An added bonus is the wonderful aroma, and it keeps insects away. I don't waste even a wilted leaf, squeeze it between my fingers, and rub on my arms before walking my dogs. No, I am not the gardening type, have health problems, but I do container gardening on a nice screened in porch, and for cooler weather I have a small green house. I am equally happy with the fact that these are organic, gives on peace of mind to know what you are eating. I am going to nudge the local Clemson University extension and if they don't know about you already, they certainly will now. Those videos ought to be required viewing in our schools here. Have you talked to our First Lady yet, (Michelle) she does a beautiful job, getting children working and growning things green with their hands, don't you think?

Keep up the wonderful work, we love you here is South Carolina!

Our fresh herbs are available in most grocery stores on the East Cost from NY to FL. You can also find them in some stores west to the Mississippi River. Some of our Facebook followers have listed specific stores in which they shop for our herbs, if you have an account, you may find that information helpful. Click here to see those posts. https://www.facebook.com/ShenandoahGrowers

These cookies were so good - but they definitely needed the chocolate. They were a little dry without it. I covered 3/4 of the cookie with chocolate and the family loved them.

I didn't have almonds so I used 2 teaspoons of almond extract instead. Also, I did not have lemon extract so I juiced 2 teaspoons of the lemon instead and I thought they had great flavor.

I used fresh oregano to make a chicken lemon feta entree for dinner. The fresh oregano really brought out the flavor MUCH MORE than the old dried up herbs in a can. Love it, so worth the extra $. YUMMMM. Love the Southern Women's Show, its a great bonding day with my Mother, my best friend! Hope I win. :)

Can I do the same with fresh Dill? I bought a 2 oz pack, and only used several sprigs in a fish dish. I hate to throw away the remaining dill, so would love to know the best way to freeze it.

Suggestions welcomed!
